Lone Star Grill

Lone Star Grill
930 Dixon Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 1J9, Canada

Our first choice was Keg just across the road, but when we saw the queue for tables we decided to try the Lone Star. It was a good choice. The usual high capacity restaurant, but with plenty of friendly servers and a good Texan menu. Nick and I each had a large glass of house wine (from the Niagara area). I was too full from lunch to even look at anything other than the appetizer menu, from which I selected the quesadillas with bronzed prawns at $12.99. Nick had room for more and chose the small Lone Star dinner - a bowl of spicy chicken soup followed by a small (6oz) steak with vegetables and fries., all for $19.50. My quesadillas were perfect, and even after the very tasty soup, Nick, whilst avoiding the carrots and broccoli, otherwise finished his plateful. The dessert menu was insufficiently inspiring to tempt us (deep fried ice cream sounded just too OTT).
