Szamos Chocolate Museum, Kossuth Lajos tér 10, Budapest, 1051, Hungary
Situated close by the parliament building this is the cafe attached to the famous Budapest Chocolate Museum which is upstairs. (The loo is also upstairs and you have to show the museum attendant your cafe receipt to use the loo or else pay 200HUF)
Some tables are self service and others (with cloths) are table service. We managed to find space at a self service table, which solved the problem of ordering, but necessitated a huge queue at the counter as the coffee making involved passing the order between several staff, in addition to having to pay first further along the counter then return and show your receipt before being served. It was even slower than Starbucks! I had hot chocolate, most appropriately, but only because I couldn't work out whether decaff coffee was available! Once we obtained our order, both drinks and cakes were worth the wait, enabling us to recharge our energy before embarking on the next bout of sightseeing.
