20-22 Brunswick Arcade, Keighley, Yorkshire BD21 3QB
We needed a light lunch between engagements and happened to be in Keighley. A quick glance around the central area did not look promising, it is dominated by a rather dated Shopping mall, the Airedale centre, which we judged would be full of chain establishments. Yes, MacDonalds, Subway, Costa were present but there were one or two smaller places of which Caffe Incontro was well patronised and convenient. We each ordered a toasted sandwich, chicken tikka for Nick and mozzarella with spinach and spicy tomato chutney for me, with an orange juice and coffee. Disappointingly the freshly squeezed orange juice advertised was not available so Nick had to make do with a juice burst. They open early in the morning and serve breakfast items and smoothies, so I guess that by 1.30pm it is reasonable to find stocks low. Papers available for customers' use and a choice of seating including squishy sofas as well as kitchen style tables and chairs. Our toasties were tasty and came with a generous salad garnish.
