77-78 Upper Street, Islington, London N1 0NU
This remains the only Brazilian cuisine in Islington, having seen off the competition in the form of "Cabana". The Dinner buffet was £27.90 per person, but the food was not as good as we remember from the Birmingham branch Link. It's a good while since we were there, so maybe that has been dumbed down now too. When I say dumbed down, I mean diluted to British tastes - there were several chicken joints on offer as well as pork chops and sausages. I have never heard of chicken at this type of Rodizio before, and by implication there was less beef on offer. When we finally got the beef, it was very good, but it was hard work attracting the attention of the guys with the skewers who seemed to ignore the red and green indicator system. We had no complaints about the salad and side dish buffet; indeed the Pão de Queijo was very good. We had a Caipirinha each to start the meal (£ 7.80 and not as good as Las Iguanas, with no happy hour either!) and Nick also had 2 glasses of red adding another £13.80 to the bill which came to £93 incl 10% service charge.
