Collins Corgi (1988) London
Recommendation: Previous books
Set on a university campus when sit-ins were not unusual and pre-Glasnost. There is quite good portrayal of characters even though they are rather stereotyped and definitely not up to David Lodge standards. The plot is less riveting than earlier C.D. Sloan stories; also "our hero" felt a bit out of his depth so there are fewer "asides" for the reader.
