Quite good, being one of his earlier books. Not up to "Reflex" Link the last Dick Francis book I read, but not as poor as Nick made out! Usual thriller main plot, this time about jockeys losing their nerve, with elements of romance and humour.

    I enjoyed all of his books. Those written together with his son before Dick's death were not as good as his earlier ones like this one. The only one I could not get started into was Silks. I consider myself a Dick Francis fan and often enjoy rereading some of them. Especially like Shattered.
