We decided to eat here on our way home from London which proved to be a mistake as we found we weren't sufficiently hungry to do justice to the excellent menu. There were a small selection of main course dishes, including Madeiran Empanada, but most of the menu is tapas. At lunchtime these are 3 for £12.50, but in the evening they are £19.50 for as many as you want. You order 3 per person to begin, then add more as you finish those. With some garlic bread we managed only the three each! We were offered a complimentary dessert, so we shared a semi-freddo which was very good and Nick had an espresso.
The tapas we chose were Prawns in Piri-piri sauce, Calamari with aioli dip, cod-cakes with chilli dip, Duck leg in raspberry sauce, Chorizo in wine sauce and Mozzarella in breadcrumbs with spicy tomato dip. All were tasty, but the mozzarella and cod-cakes looked bought in. Sufficiently good to try it again.
