A Vicar's Diary

David Wilbourne

1999 London Fount (Harper Collins)

Recommendation: Cover blurb.

A very moving autobiographical story (in the James Herriot mould) of a new vicar in his late 20s from his installation in a country parish of 3 villages in Yorkshire in the mid 1960s. The stories are based on the author's father's tales of village life at this period, and the author's own experience as a clergyman.
